Tattoo removal in Kuala Lumpur,
faded session by session.

Tattoo Removal Kuala Lumpur · PicoWay®

Removal-KL offers laser tattoo removal, fading of old tattoos and pre-cover-up fading in Kuala Lumpur. Treatment is built around the PicoWay® picosecond laser, combined with the Fotona® SP Dynamis fractional platform, and planned in stages according to black-and-grey or colour ink, ink layering, skin condition and your final goal.

Results and the number of sessions vary from person to person; a plan is made after an in-person assessment.

01 · Treatment progress

Not gone overnight,
but faded step by step.

These are progress photos of the same tattoo on the back of the neck, from before treatment to after three sessions. Angles, lighting and clothing differ; the photos show the real change in this case and do not represent everyone's results.

Set a baseline: see the tattoo clearly first.

Before treatment we look at the tattoo's size, colours, saturation, layering, location and age, as well as your skin condition and past reactions.

Session one is about seeing how the ink responds.

Some ink starts to break up, lighten or blur at the edges. How much changes depends on the ink, its depth, the body area and your metabolism.

By session two, the change is easier to compare.

Once the skin has fully recovered, we treat the remaining ink and decide whether to adjust energy or combined steps based on the first session's record.

Session three: reassess the overall goal.

This is a good point to compare against the first photo and decide whether to keep removing, allow more time for clearance, or stop because the tattoo is light enough for a cover-up.

02 · Selected results

Three
representative cases.

The home page shows a few selected cases so you can quickly see how different tattoos fade. The full case library can be filtered by type and number of sessions.

These results show real treatment progress and do not mean every client will get the same result. Ink, depth, body area, skin type and metabolism all affect treatment.

* The full case library has 14 cases, filterable by small tattoos, colour ink and 4+ sessions. Individual results may vary.

03 · Combined approach

Two devices,
each with its own role.

Combined treatment does not mean every client gets the same settings or the same steps. Device order, treatment area and intervals are adjusted to your assessment and how you recover each time.

01

PicoWay®

Ultra-short picosecond pulses target the tattoo ink. Different wavelengths and handpieces can be used for different colours and depths; the choice depends on assessment of your tattoo and skin tone.

02

Fotona® SP Dynamis

The fractional stage is part of the combined process and is used according to skin condition and treatment goal. Not every session or every area uses the same plan.

Assess → Treat → Heal → Review

Assess, treat, recover, review. Each session builds on how your skin actually recovered from the last one, rather than a promised result.

04 · Treatment cycle

Time is part of the treatment.

After the laser breaks up the ink, your skin needs time to heal and your body needs time to clear it. More frequent sessions are not faster; the interval depends on your recovery.

01

First assessment

We check the tattoo, your skin, your goal and any risks before deciding whether to start treatment.

02

Treatment session

Device, settings and coverage are chosen for that day's assessment, and photos are recorded.

03

Recovery & clearance

Typically about 6–8 weeks apart; some cases need longer.

04

Review & adjust

We check healing and fading before deciding the focus of the next session.

Full removal usually takes multiple sessions. Ink colour, density, depth, location, tattoo age, previous treatment and your metabolism all affect the result; any session count is an estimated range, not a guarantee.
05 · Tattoo removal guides

07 · Before & after care

Care goes beyond treatment day.

Aftercare affects how comfortable your recovery is and whether the next session can go ahead as planned. The notes below are general; follow your assessment and the written instructions given on the day.

Before treatment

  • Tell us about medical conditions, medication, allergies and any history of scarring
  • Avoid sun exposure or sunburn on the area beforehand
  • Let us know first if the skin is broken, infected or clearly inflamed
  • Do not apply harsh products to the area yourself
  • Keep realistic expectations about session count: assess first, then decide

After treatment

  • Keep the area clean and dry as instructed
  • Do not scratch, rub or pick off scabs
  • Avoid strong sun, pools, saunas and intense exercise while healing
  • Use strict sun protection to reduce the risk of pigmentation
  • Contact us promptly if pain, redness, swelling or discharge keeps getting worse
08 · Questions

Before you start,
let's be clear.

How much does tattoo removal cost?
Reference price per session: small tattoos (around 10 cm) from RM300; around 15 cm about RM1,000. Larger, dense or multi-colour tattoos are quoted after we see a photo. This is a per-session price, not the full-course total; the final price is confirmed at assessment. See the price guide →
How many tattoo removal sessions will I need?
There is no fixed number for everyone. Professional tattoos usually need multiple sessions; colour, density, layering, location and metabolism all change the plan. We give a realistic range after assessment.
How much will it fade after one, two or three sessions?
Progress photos help you understand the process; they are not a promise of your result. The case library notes body area, ink, number of sessions and stage, so you can compare cases closer to your own.
Why is spacing important?
Your skin needs to recover, and your body needs time to clear the ink fragments. The next session is timed by how you actually heal, not just the calendar.
Can coloured tattoos be treated?
Different colours respond to different wavelengths. PicoWay offers several wavelengths, but suitability, expected fading and order still depend on the specific inks and your skin tone.
Can I just fade a tattoo enough for a cover-up?
“Creating a better base for a cover-up” can be one of the treatment goals. We decide together with the new design, the density of the old tattoo and the tattoo artist's cover-up plan.
